Course Overview
This course is for people over 18 who wish to become registered childminders to look after other people's children. As a registered childminder you will look after one or more children under the age of 8 for more than a total of two hours a day, usually in your own home(not necessary your own house)for payment.

It may be suitable if you are newly registered but do not have a relevant qualification already. If you are not yet registered, your tutor can advise you on the process.

After the course you are able to meet the requirements for basic training as part of childminder registration or application to be a registered childminder.

NOTE: when you enroll on this course, we will register you with CACHE. The fee for this registration is included in your course fees. There may be an additional administration charge (approx. £50) from the test centre for taking the multiple-choice assessment.
